Fox to sell Digital HD movies three weeks ahead

Ok so Fox with its new DHD initiative (Digital HD )will focus on getting DHD movies out to you 3 weeks ahead of Discs and Video on Demand. Not to mention at a reasonable price of $15. This is an awesome step towards going totally digital which i can see happening in the future (My future is Now<---I'm already copying all my media to hard drives).

According to the studio when this kicks off September 18th, it will make more than 600 films available across stores including Amazon, CinemaNow, iTunes, PlayStation, VUDU and Xbox. Prometheus is also Fox's first UV title and its first new release under the DHD program, but if you prefer your digital movies in another format, it looks like you'll be able to get them.

Prometheus will be the first Movie from this studio and will be available to add to your UltraViolet Account. For all of you out there that don't Know what UltraViolet is this is the next step in the Digital age where all your Movies and Tv Shows will all be housed on the Ultraviolet Servers and will be able to stream to any computer, smart phone, tablet, gaming device and laptops at any time. You buy content and it's yours forever to be in your collection. You can download movies at any time for use on your devices for offline use (If you are going on a trip where there is no internet connection). There are alot of companies getting on board with this process including VUDU, amazon, google play amd many more. If you have old DVD's Walmart even has a service that will convert your Movies to Digital. Standard Definition will cost you $2.00 per disc and an HD movie will be $5.00. You might think its a little high in price but think about it, you will never have to worry about scratching your movies and of course no matter where you are as long as you have an internet connection you have access to your movie collection.

I think thats the right step in the Future. What do you think??
